Mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad said:
The council received 600 complaints in 2012 on the lack of parking spaces in these areas and many commuters were forced to park their cars on private properties ..With the completion of the new parking bays, we hope to also overcome traffic congestion issues in these areas.
Selangor government allocated 47 acres of land for this benchmark transport project.

Moreover, Mayor Alinah also revealed in a council meeting that a bus lane dedicated for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will also be developed to service areas between Setia Jaya Komuter station and USJ station. Alinah further said:
The problem of traffic congestion happens because of the imbalance of vehicle density compared to the road space and lanes provided ..The high ratio of private vehicles ownership and the interdependence on private cars which is over 85 per cent is the cause of traffic jams here
This move is PJ's take on a Transit Oriented Development strategy to set solution to its traffic issues and concerns. (Source: http://www.mmail.com.my)
