224 New Policemen Needed in Metro Manila for Anti-criminality Drive in 2013 -- In order to catch up with its supplemental police force quota for the last quarter of 2012, the National Capital Region Police Office or NCRPO will be needing over 200 new police officers for the year 2013.

Two hundred (200) of the said new police officers shall be dedicated for those residing in the National Capital Region while the remaining 124 are for the Luzon-based applicants.

Metro Manila police chief Director Leonardo Espina said:
We are looking forward to achieve the ideal police-to-population ratio. These additional personnel will be a big help in fielding more police officers in the streets and keep the community safe
Keeping all other aspects at bay, this required number of Police Officer 1s (PO1s) in the Philippine National Police is no doubt an added force to man the busy population of the national capital region. It is a new set of response team, comes many untoward incidents across the months of 2013. Right now, the recruitment process is on for the qualified men and women who possess the following basic requirements:
  • not less than 21 but not more than 30 years old
  • holder of any baccalaureate degree, and 
  • with good moral character
NCRPO Human Resources chief, Senior Supt. Arthur Felix Asis said, interested individuals should apply personally at the Office of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division at the  NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan Taguig City. Senior Supt. Asis pointed out that:
Applicants must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or on AWOL or Dropped from rolls of the PNP service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government
Be ready NCR! You will be having 224 New Policemen to cater for the safety of your public denominations. But then, let us hope that this new batch will not add up to the law breaking law enforcers that we already have.
