Modified Truck Ban in Metro Manila, Extended Until July 6 -- As it contemplates on implementing a permanent truck ban, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Monday that the modified truck in the metro shall be until July 6, 2013.

The announcement came under Resolution No. 01 of 2013, "approving the extension of the modified uniform truck ban for a period of six months from Jan. 7 to July 6".

With the modified truck ban in effect, trucks will be prohibited to travel the metro's thoroughfares from:
- 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day, except Sundays and holidays

While it will be a 24-hours truck ban for EDSA (Epifanio de los Santos Avenue), from Magallanes interchange, Makati City to North Avenue, Quezon City from Monday to Sunday.

Exempted from the ban are "delivery trucks carrying perishable goods".
