New Year's Resolution Apps for iPhone

New Year's Resolution Apps for iPhone -- New year is almost here again and most probably, most of us have already compiled a list of to-do things. It may include but not limited to things like improving health and better finance management or maybe a significant adjustment on one's blogging routine and such. Whatever goals that will make it to the roster, it will always be cool to get things digitally organized with your available smartphones. In this regard, a New Year's resolutions apps called "5K Runner" is available for the iPhone users at the moment.

In order to help the couch potatoes out there, the 5K Runner iPhone app suggests to get things slowly and well-focused, that is, through forming sustainable habits rather than resorting to an abrupt physical fitness program. 5K Runner assures you of its strategy to garner a total running distance of 5 KM over the length of eight (8) weeks.

Says David-Michel Davies, the executive director of The Webby Awards:
You're slowly building this routine into your daily life with a lot of success and after eight weeks you're literally running 5K, which is pretty big if (initially) you're not running at all
5K Runner guides the user through the run. It records the combination of alternating periods of running and walking for 35 minutes. Before you know it, you've actually ran 5K for a certain period of time.

Aside from 5K Runner iPhone app for your resolution in the coming new year, Director Davis also suggests the use of other apps called "Nike+ Running" and "RunKeeper". These are two (2) fitness apps which utilize GPS to track distance a person traversed, including his speed and amount of calories burned. Both are available for iOS and Androids.

So if you are on the hunt for some cool and at the same time, practical iPhone apps for your New Year's resolutions that are mainly leaning onto your health or fitness concerns, 5K Runner, Nike+ Running and RunKeeper are right there waiting for your mighty download.

In a few days or so, I would be trying to download the last two mentioned fitness apps for my own set of health-related resolution for new year.
