Unified Traffic Fines in Metro Manila, Ready to Go!

Unified Traffic Fines in Metro Manila, Ready to Go! -- It's been set! The unified traffic fines for Metro Manila is now good to go as Mayors approved Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s proposal to adopt unified fines for traffic violations under the single ticketing system, which will start in January next year (2013).
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said, the implementation of the new resolution shall be on Jan. 1, 2013. MMDA's Resolution No. 12-02 of 2012 is titled “Adopting a Uniform Ticketing System and Establishment of a System of Interconnectivity among Government Instrumentalities Involved in the Transport and Traffic Management in Metro Manila”.

It is great to know that finally, Metro Manila will now pave the way to a smarter, economical and rational way of dealing with traffic fines. I do hope that next to this will be the settlement of the issues pertaining to the overlapping functions among various officials involved in administering our transport and traffic affairs.

Way to go MMDA! After the launching of the bike lanes, this unified traffic fines is surely a double of the treat.
