PhilHealth Benefits Still Available in Infirmaries and Clinics

PhilHealth Benefits Still Available in Infirmaries and Clinics -- PhilHealth card holders and beneficiaries have been afraid of the notion that their cards are no longer useful when it comes to hospitals reclassified into infirmaries and clinics. But the state-run insurance agency headed by Eduardo Banzon assured the members that they can still avail of the benefits, just like before, although there could be adjustments when it comes to claim scheme. As Banzon stated:
In the event where hospitals get reclassified to infirmaries, their accreditation with us remains but will just be adjusted based on their new classification
The issue came up due to a newly declared policy of the Department of Health (DOH), which is "reclassification of hospitals nationwide" as part of an effort to upgrade the materials being used in various health facilities of the country.
PhilHealth will be reimbursing payments to infirmaries and clinics based on an adjusted service capability. And by the way, you can now register for Philhealth membership online.
