Number Coding Lifted on Nov. 1 and 2, MMDA -- Is number coding in effect or lifted on Nov. 1 and 2? The question should not bother you anymore, specially if your vehicle's plate number ends in 7, 8, 9 and 0; You may drive it during the holidays. The MMDA lifted the coding scheme, as per its official advisory through its Twitter account.
Under normal condition or regular days, vehicles with plate numbers ending in 7 and 8 are prohibited from the major roads from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The same rule applies on Fridays for vehicles with plate numbers ending in 9 and 0.

But, as has been declared by the Metro Manila Development Authority, the coding scheme is lifted.
