On November 27 (Tue), sets of security cameras were installed at the command center of the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) in Manila. It is a project aimed to protect tourists and visitors at the park from potential criminal elements.

Technologies like these should be promoted and provided in areas like parks, terminals and the like. Places where huge volume of people gather and those that are scarcely populated specially during wee hours are some of the priorities to be considered for this kind of infrastructure provision. In close support for this shall be a quick response and crisis management team that can be deployed as needed.

Kudos to Manila for this tourism safety effort. It definitely a way to go in promoting local tourism.
