20 Barangays in Sultan Kudarat Flooded -- Fresh news have it that at least 20 barangays in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Southern Philippines are flooded. Parallel to that, two people died due to drowning in Davao. Here is the video courtesy of http://www.abs-cbnnews.com:

Earlier on Sunday, the said flood took an elderly woman's life. Senior Inspector Esmael Maguid, Sultan Kudarat police chief said, the woman was taken by the flood in the middle of the night. Her makeshift was swept by the floodwaters in Barangay (village) Banubo.
Some of the flooded Barangays are the following:

  1. Bulalo, Bulibod
  2. Gang
  3. Makabiso
  4. Rebuken
  5. Darapanan
  6. Bungabong
  7. Kakar and;
  8. Inawan
Meanwhile, the Regional Legislative Assembly in Muslim Mindanao will be summoning Engr. Emil Sadain, the region's public works and highways secretary, to do a report on the over P1-billion appropriation for regional projects that was then under the care of assemblymen to implement small projects in the nearby districts.

Up until now, low lying villages in Maguindanao still suffer from flooding every after continuous rains.

Let's hope that Maguindanao would be able to provide at least an official and constantly updated list of flooded areas for easy monitoring and commissioning of possible relief goods operation.
